Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Silver Screen Mavericks LLC's ("BEET", "we", "us", or "our") website at gobeet.app, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). BEET stands for Bringing Entertainment and Events Together.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Services.
Electronic agreement
By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Services, you consent to these Terms electronically. Your electronic acceptance constitutes a binding agreement equivalent to a handwritten signature. You acknowledge that you can access, download, and print these Terms at any time from gobeet.app/terms-of-service.
BEET is a platform that connects users with events, movies, deals, and experiences. Our Services include:
- Event discovery, browsing, and location-based recommendations
- BoxOffice movie browsing and MovieAgent AI-powered entertainment suggestions
- Event ticket purchasing (paid and free events)
- Deal and voucher marketplace
- Spaces (venues and communities) for hosts and organizers
- Host dashboards with analytics, attendee management, and payout tracking
- QR code-based ticket check-in and voucher redemption
- Promo codes and coupon system
- Business and influencer directories with outreach tools
- Push notifications, announcements, and event updates
- User profiles, preferences, and social features
BEET offers AI-powered features including MovieAgent (personalized entertainment suggestions) and BoxOffice (movie browsing and recommendations). These features use event data, user preferences, and interaction patterns to generate suggestions.
- AI recommendations are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. They are not guarantees of quality, availability, or suitability.
- Recommendations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always verify event details, pricing, and availability before making a purchase.
- BEET does not guarantee that AI suggestions will match your preferences or expectations.
- We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models. Recommendation logic runs on our own infrastructure.
- You may choose to ignore any AI-generated suggestion. Use of AI features is entirely optional and does not affect your access to other parts of the Services.
To access certain features, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information, including your email address, display name, and date of birth.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Notify us immediately if your account is compromised.
- Not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
You may sign in using Google, Apple, email/password, or phone number. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or lock accounts that exhibit suspicious activity, including repeated failed login attempts.
BEET supports multiple user roles:
Attendees (general users)
Browse and discover events and deals; purchase tickets and vouchers; apply promo codes at checkout; register for free or paid events; join waitlists; subscribe to spaces, cities, and categories; manage notification preferences.
Hosts (event organizers and space owners)
Create and manage spaces and events with ticketing; set ticket types, pricing, and capacity; create and distribute promo codes; manage attendees, check-ins, and operations; receive payouts via Stripe Connect; post announcements; access analytics dashboards; invite team members with granular permissions (co-owners, admins, managers, operations).
Business owners
Register a business profile (restaurant, venue, catering, equipment rental, logistics); receive and respond to sponsorship and booth space requests from event hosts; manage business team members.
Influencers
Create an influencer profile with social media links; receive and respond to collaboration requests from event hosts.
Event listings
Events are created and managed by hosts. We act as a platform connecting hosts with attendees and do not organize, endorse, or guarantee the quality of any event listed on BEET.
Ticket purchases
- All ticket prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include the base price set by the host.
- Processing fees and applicable sales tax are calculated and displayed separately at checkout.
- Tickets are non-transferable unless the host explicitly allows transfers.
- A QR code is generated for each ticket for event check-in.
- Ticket purchases may be subject to seat availability, which is held for a limited time during checkout (reservation hold). If payment is not completed within the hold period, the reservation expires and seats are released.
Free events
Free events may require registration but do not involve payment. Registration may still require providing your name, email, and other details requested by the host.
Guest checkout
You may purchase tickets without creating an account. Guest checkout requires your name, email, and phone number. Some features (such as registered-user-only promo codes and order history) require a registered account.
Age-restricted events
Some events may be designated as age-restricted by the host (for example, 21+ for events serving alcohol). Age restrictions are set and enforced by the event host, not by BEET. BEET relies on self-reported date of birth during registration and does not independently verify age through government-issued identification. By purchasing a ticket to an age-restricted event, you represent that you meet the age requirement. The host may verify your age at the door and deny entry if you do not meet the requirement. BEET is not responsible for denied entry due to age restrictions and does not issue refunds in such cases.
Deal listings
Hosts and businesses may list deals (for example restaurant vouchers or service discounts) on BEET. We act as a platform and do not guarantee the quality, availability, or fulfillment of any deal.
Voucher purchases
- Each voucher purchase generates a unique voucher with a QR code for redemption.
- Vouchers have expiration dates set by the deal creator.
- Vouchers are single-use and are marked as redeemed upon use.
- The deal creator is solely responsible for honoring valid, unredeemed vouchers.
General rules
- Promo codes must be entered manually by the user at checkout.
- Promo codes are not automatically applied.
- Codes are case-insensitive.
- Multiple promo codes may be stacked on a single order where permitted.
- Each promo code is validated independently; invalid codes do not block valid ones from applying.
Coupon restrictions
Promo codes may be subject to one or more restrictions enforced by the platform, including: validity for a specific event or deal only; a date range; minimum purchase amount or ticket quantity; maximum discount cap; limited total uses or per-user usage limits; restriction to registered users or specific email addresses; applicability to certain ticket categories only.
Coupon visibility
- Public coupons may be visible on the event or deal page.
- Private coupons are distributed directly by the host (via email or other channels) and are not listed publicly.
Disclaimer
We reserve the right to void or revoke promo codes that are abused, fraudulently obtained, or used in violation of their intended terms. Promo codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for currency.
Payment processing
All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Pricing
- All prices are displayed in the applicable currency (default: USD).
- The total amount at checkout includes the ticket or voucher base price, processing fees, applicable sales tax, and any discounts from valid promo codes.
- Processing fees and tax amounts are calculated and displayed before you confirm payment.
Authorization
By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the total amount to your selected payment method via Stripe.
Payment disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is unauthorized or incorrect, contact us at support@gobeet.app before initiating a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We will investigate and resolve valid claims promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays, and we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute. Fraudulent chargebacks (disputing a legitimate charge) may result in permanent account termination and collection of amounts owed.
Ticket order refunds
- Refund eligibility is determined by the event host's refund policy.
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe.
- Refund processing times depend on your bank or card issuer.
- When a refund is issued, any promo code usage associated with the order is reversed, restoring the code's availability.
Voucher refunds
- Voucher refunds are subject to the deal creator's refund policy.
- Redeemed vouchers are generally not eligible for refunds.
- Unredeemed vouchers may be refunded at the discretion of the deal creator or platform administrators.
Event cancellations
- If an event is cancelled by the host, ticket holders are eligible for a full refund.
- We are not responsible for losses incurred due to event cancellations, including travel or accommodation expenses.
Platform discretion
We reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion in cases of fraud, platform errors, or disputes.
Stripe Connect
Hosts receive payouts for ticket and voucher sales through Stripe Connect. By becoming a host, you agree to complete Stripe's onboarding process and comply with Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
Platform fees
We deduct a platform fee from each transaction before disbursing payouts to hosts. The applicable fee rate is disclosed during host onboarding and on the space settings page.
Payout timing
Payouts are processed according to the schedule configured in your Stripe Connect account. Payout requests may be subject to review and approval.
Tax obligations
Hosts are responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on income received through the BEET platform. Stripe may issue a 1099-K form to hosts who meet the applicable IRS reporting thresholds. BEET does not provide tax advice; consult a qualified tax professional regarding your obligations.
Hosts may include custom registration questions on their events (for example, dietary preferences, T-shirt sizes, or accessibility needs). The host determines what questions to ask and is solely responsible for ensuring the questions comply with applicable laws (including anti-discrimination laws). BEET processes and stores responses on behalf of the host. Both BEET and the host may access response data. Hosts must not use custom questions to collect sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account details). BEET reserves the right to remove questions that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to BEET, including event descriptions, images, announcements, and business or influencer profiles. By submitting content, you grant Silver Screen Mavericks LLC a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the BEET platform and Services. This license is necessary for us to host your content on third-party infrastructure (such as cloud hosting and CDNs), display it to users globally, and retain event archives. This license survives termination of your account for content that was shared publicly or as part of completed transactions.
Content standards
You agree not to upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harassing; infringes on intellectual property rights; contains malware, spam, or phishing attempts; misrepresents your identity; or promotes violence or discrimination. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards without notice.
DMCA and content takedown
If you believe that content on BEET infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to support@gobeet.app with the following information: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the infringing material and its location on the Services; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. We will investigate valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
Media uploads
Images and media uploaded to BEET are stored via Cloudinary. By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
Promotions on the BEET platform (including sweepstakes, giveaways, raffles, and contests -- collectively, "Promotions") may be offered by BEET itself or by event hosts. The following terms apply to all Promotions.
No purchase necessary
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN ANY PROMOTION ON BEET. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Where a Promotion is associated with a paid event, a free alternative method of entry will always be provided as described in the Promotion's Official Rules.
Official Rules
Every Promotion must have Official Rules that are accessible within the app before and during the Promotion. Official Rules must include: eligibility requirements (including age and residency restrictions); entry period with start and end dates; all methods of entry including the free alternative method; prize description and approximate retail value; odds of winning or statement that odds depend on number of entries; winner selection method, notification process, and response deadline; sponsor identification; and all required legal disclaimers.
BEET-run Promotions
When BEET is the sponsor of a Promotion (for example, "attend this movie event, enter to win"):
- Silver Screen Mavericks LLC is the sole sponsor and administrator.
- Official Rules will be published within the app and will govern all aspects of the Promotion.
- BEET will provide a free alternative method of entry (such as a mail-in entry or online form) so that no purchase is required.
- BEET will comply with all applicable federal and state sweepstakes laws, including registration and bonding requirements where applicable.
- Winners of prizes valued at $2,000 or more (per current IRS thresholds) may be required to complete a W-9 form and will receive a 1099-MISC for tax reporting purposes. Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes.
Host-run Promotions
When an event host runs a Promotion through the BEET platform:
- The event host is the sole sponsor of the Promotion. BEET is not a sponsor, co-sponsor, or administrator of host-run Promotions.
- The host is solely responsible for drafting Official Rules that comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including: the "no purchase necessary" requirement; providing a free alternative method of entry; registering and bonding in states that require it (New York and Florida require registration for prizes valued over $5,000); and excluding jurisdictions where the Promotion is prohibited.
- The host must include the Apple disclaimer (see below) in their Official Rules.
- The host agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Silver Screen Mavericks LLC from all claims, damages, and expenses arising from or related to the host's Promotion.
- BEET has not verified the legal compliance of any host-run Promotion and assumes no liability for its administration, fulfillment, or legality.
- Any questions, complaints, or disputes regarding a host-run Promotion should be directed to the host, not to BEET.
Apple disclaimer
All Promotions on BEET must include the following disclaimer in their Official Rules: "This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates."
Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated in a Promotion's Official Rules, participants must be legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska, 21+ for alcohol-related prizes), and must not be employees or immediate family members of the sponsor or its affiliates. Promotions are void where prohibited or restricted by law.
State-specific compliance
Certain states impose additional requirements on Promotions:
- New York and Florida: require registration and surety bonding for Promotions with total prize values exceeding $5,000. Sponsors must register before the Promotion launches.
- Rhode Island: requires registration for prizes exceeding $500 at retail establishments.
- California: requires the "no purchase necessary" statement to appear in a separate paragraph, in capital letters, in a contrasting typeface no smaller than the largest typeface in the Official Rules (California Business and Professions Code 17539.15).
- Sponsors may exclude specific states from eligibility to avoid registration or bonding requirements.
General Promotion rules
- Promo codes, coupons, and discounts offered through the platform (see Promo Codes and Coupons) are not Promotions and are not subject to sweepstakes law.
- BEET reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend any Promotion at any time if fraud, technical issues, or other factors compromise the integrity of the Promotion.
- All decisions regarding winner selection are final.
- Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules.
Waitlists
When an event reaches capacity, you may join a waitlist. Being on a waitlist does not guarantee entry or the ability to purchase tickets.
Reservation holds
During checkout, seats may be temporarily held for a limited time while you complete payment. If payment is not completed within the hold period, the reservation expires and seats are released automatically.
Transactional communications
By using BEET, you agree to receive transactional emails and notifications related to your account, purchases, bookings, and event updates. These are necessary for the operation of the Services and cannot be opted out of entirely.
Promotional communications
You may opt in to receive push notifications and promotional emails. You can manage these preferences within the app or unsubscribe via the link in any email.
You agree not to:
- Use BEET for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other user accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services' operation.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without our written permission.
- Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
- Resell or scalp tickets purchased through BEET unless the host explicitly permits it.
- Abuse the promo code system (for example creating fake accounts to bypass per-user limits).

BEET integrates with third-party services including Firebase (authentication, push notifications), Stripe (payment processing and host payouts), Cloudinary (media storage), Zoho ZeptoMail (transactional email), and Google reCAPTCHA (bot protection). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
Platform role
BEET is a platform that connects event hosts with attendees and deal creators with buyers. We do not organize, endorse, or guarantee any event, deal, or transaction conducted through the Services.
Service availability
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee that the Services will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions.
As-is provision
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Silver Screen Mavericks LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Services' operation, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silver Screen Mavericks LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Services, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill; losses from event cancellations, no-shows, or unfulfilled deals; unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or any conduct of third parties on the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of BEET shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Force majeure
Silver Screen Mavericks LLC shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, government actions or orders, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications outages, or acts of God. During such events, our obligations under these Terms are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Silver Screen Mavericks LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Silver Screen Mavericks LLC may assign or transfer these Terms, and any rights and licenses granted herein, to a third party in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law, without restriction or notification. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights herein without our prior written consent.
The failure of Silver Screen Mavericks LLC to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any term shall not be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Silver Screen Mavericks LLC.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app account deletion feature or by contacting support.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to new terms taking effect. Changes will be posted within the Services, and the updated version will take effect upon posting. By continuing to use our Services after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Binding arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration shall take place in California, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. You agree that arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only.
Class action waiver
YOU AND BEET AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
Exceptions to arbitration
Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights.
Opt-out
You may opt out of binding arbitration within 30 days of creating your account by sending written notice to support@gobeet.app with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line and your account email. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
You agree to comply with all applicable United States export and re-export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations, trade and economic sanctions maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other applicable laws. You may not use the Services if you are located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or if you are on any U.S. Government restricted party list. Stripe, our payment processor, performs sanctions screening as part of its compliance obligations.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Silver Screen Mavericks LLC regarding your use of BEET and supersede any prior agreements.
